Nestled among the vineyards of Beaujolais, in the heart of the wine region, this private countryside estate offers a slower and more intimate way to experience France. Surrounded by rolling vineyards and overlooking Mont Brouilly, the property combines the character of a traditional French country home with the comfort of a contemporary retreat, creating a setting designed for long lunches, afternoons by the pool and evenings shared with family or friends.
For this project, the photography focused on capturing more than the architecture of the property. The intention was to translate the atmosphere of a stay, the sense of space, the connection to the surrounding landscape and the simple pleasure of having time to enjoy it. From the first view of the house among the vineyards to the quieter details inside, every image was created to help the viewer imagine what it feels like to arrive, settle in and experience the Beaujolais countryside at its own pace.
"A place to arrive, slow down, and stay awhile."
During the warmer months, the heated swimming pool and outdoor spaces become an extension of the house. With its pool bar, surrounding garden and views across the countryside, the setting naturally lends itself to slow afternoons and relaxed gatherings. The photography therefore moves outside to capture the property as it is experienced during summer: a morning swim, a few hours spent in the sun, drinks shared outdoors and the transition from afternoon light into the evening.
These lifestyle images bring another dimension to the property, showing not only what guests can expect to find, but how they might actually spend their time there. For hospitality photography, these moments are essential: they transform a beautiful location into an experience that feels tangible and desirable before the guest has even arrived.
One of the defining elements of this property is its relationship with the surrounding Beaujolais landscape. The estate sits within a region known for its vineyards, villages and wine culture, with uninterrupted views towards Mont Brouilly creating a strong sense of place. Rather than treating the landscape as a simple backdrop, the photography uses it as an integral part of the story, connecting the house to the destination and giving a sense of what makes a stay here unique.
From the architecture framed by the vines to the changing light across the countryside, these images establish a visual connection between the property and its surroundings. The result is a collection that sells not only a house, but the idea of escaping to the French countryside and experiencing everything that comes with it.
My approach to hospitality photography is centred on creating a sense of place rather than simply documenting a space. I look at how architecture, interiors, landscape, light and human presence work together to communicate the identity of a property and the experience it offers.
For this Beaujolais estate, the visual story was built around the relationship between the house and its surroundings, combining architectural photography with lifestyle imagery and intimate details. The goal was to create a cohesive collection of photographs that could be used not only to showcase the property, but to communicate its atmosphere and inspire future guests to imagine themselves there.
Your property deserves images that book rooms.
