These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of creative services by Constance Galet ("Designer", "I", "me") to clients ("Client", "you"). By commissioning work, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

I offer art direction, graphic design, visual identity, and illustration services. The scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees for each project are defined in a written quote or proposal ("Quote"), which forms part of these Terms once accepted.

2. Quotes & Acceptance

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue unless otherwise stated.

  • A project begins once the Client confirms acceptance in writing (email is sufficient) and pays the required deposit.

  • Any changes to the scope after acceptance may result in revised fees and timelines.

3. Fees & Payment

  • Invoices are due within 14 days of issue.

  • Payments can be made by bank transfer or PayPal. Fees for international transfers are borne by the Client.

  • Late payments incur interest at 1.5% per month and may result in suspension of work.

4. Revisions

  • Each project includes two rounds of revisions on the agreed deliverables.

  • Additional revisions are billed at my hourly rate (specified in the Quote).

  • Revisions must be submitted in writing, consolidated into a single set of feedback per round.

5. Deliverables & File Formats

Final deliverables are provided in industry-standard formats (PDF, PNG, SVG, AI, etc.) as specified in the Quote. Source files (e.g., editable Illustrator or InDesign files) are included only if explicitly agreed.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Before full payment: I retain all rights to the work. The Client may not use, reproduce, or modify any deliverables.

  • Upon full payment: Intellectual property rights for the final approved deliverables transfer to the Client, except:

    • I retain the right to display the work in my portfolio, website, social media, and award submissions.

    • Any third-party assets (stock images, fonts) remain subject to their respective licenses.

  • Preliminary concepts, sketches, and rejected directions remain my property.

7. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate briefs, assets, and feedback within agreed timelines

  • Obtain necessary rights for any materials supplied to me (photos, text, logos)

  • Review and approve deliverables promptly

Delays caused by the Client may affect project timelines and are not my responsibility.

8. Confidentiality

I treat all Client information as confidential and will not share it with third parties, except as necessary to complete the project (e.g., printers, developers). NDAs can be signed upon request.

I reserve the right to cancel a project if the Client fails to provide necessary materials or feedback after 30 days of reasonable follow-up.

10. Liability

  • I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the deliverables.

  • My total liability is limited to the fees paid for the project in question.

  • I do not guarantee specific business outcomes (sales, engagement, etc.) from the creative work.

11. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control (illness, natural disasters, technical failures, etc.).

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of Lille, France.

For EU-based clients: you may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
