Some shoots begin the moment you arrive. Others begin the moment you stop. FU Wellness at KTM Resort is the second kind. You take a boat from Singapore, twenty nautical miles across the strait, and within an hour you're standing on a wooden jetty surrounded by nothing but sea, sky, and the low hum of a place that has decided, architecturally and philosophically, to move at a different speed. The spa sits on the breakwater edge of the resort, a row of private wooden villas built on stilts over the water, their verandas facing the open sea with the Singapore skyline shimmering faintly on the horizon like a mirage of the life you just left behind.

The brief was not to sell treatments. It was to sell the feeling of arriving here and realizing that the tension you've been carrying in your shoulders for six months has already started to let go, before anyone has even touched you. That distinction, between documenting a service and capturing a state of mind, shaped every composition, every angle, every decision about when to press the shutter and when to simply wait for the light to do something worth recording.
